From a single benchtop unit even complex electronics assemblies can be soldered, desoldered and reworked, using an array of tools.
With a choice of heater tips or tip cartridges, it incorporates a compact power unit offering two ports, to which any of the MFR Series tools can be attached quickly and easily for rework, SMT tasks and through-hole soldering/desoldering.
For heavier and varied workloads, multiple units can be interlocked.
Designed for removing and replacing thermally demanding lead-free components, from 0201s to 304-pin QFPs, the HCT-900 handheld convection tool is a versatile, low cost solution.
The 300W unit features a closed-loop thermocouple feedback, high-precision air pump, cool-down functions and analogue controls - typical applications include removal or replacement of QFPs, PLCCs, SOPs and TSOP devices.
Plus heating and reflow for touch-up work, heat shrink and other local heating applications.
Further new product innovations include the Power Tip Series offering high performance at low tip idle temperatures by means of optimising the conduction of the thermal energy through the tip geometries design.
The Auto Sleep Stand incorporates a green stand insert with a magnetic core.
The green insert offers high visibility to identify lead-free applications from leaded.
While a magnetic core, when coupled with Metcal Smartheat technology, will interrupt the power supply and reduce the idle temperature of the tip, whilst the hand piece is in the stand.
This improves tip life and helps to reduce dewetting.
Another important addition to OK International's lead-free compatible product range are the green lead-free identification rings for hand soldering irons on the lead-free workbench.
These new products have never before been demonstrated at a UK show, and can be viewed on the following stands, where OK International personnel will also be available throughout the show: C42, Ellsworth Adhesives; E62, Conro Electronics; and H15, Solder Connection.
