Oki Network Technologies has signed a Surpass Certified Product Agreement with Siemens and has received certification of its first product.

The VoIP-TA-S terminal adapter has been developed and certified to interwork with Siemens' Surpass H.323 Annex M.3 protocol requirements and is now available for use in combination with Siemens' Surpass Next Generation Network products.

This agreement will now enable worldwide service providers and enterprise customers to have access to a pretested, proven end-to-end IP-based telephony solution that is highly interoperable and scalable for both new and existing voice-data networks.

Additionally, this agreement opens new doors of opportunities for service providers and enterprises to supplement, expand, or replace their existing systems by implementing lower cost VoIP technologies that give their customers the advantages of IP services, as well as all of the perks of TDM telephony service, including call waiting, call forwarding, call hold etc.

The VoIP-TA-S is a single port terminal adapter that incorporates H.323 Annex M.3 supplementary services as well as standard H.323 interface capabilities.
