Enclosures meet hazardous specs

Enclosures resist the big bang
Rolec Enclosures has launched its Alukom-Ex explosion resistant enclosures, in accordance with EN50 019 and EN50 020.
These areas include those with explosive danger due to local circumstances, where combustion propagates independently from the source of ignition, or where an explosive atmosphere is created through high temperature or sparks in the equipment.
The Alukom-Ex range holds the necessary approvals (copies of which are available on request), and is sealed to IP66.
The Alukom-Ex range is available in 23 industry standard sizes, with external dimensions ranging from 58 x 64 x 33 to 600 x 310 x 110mm.
The standard cases are powder painted pebble grey RAL 7032, however, other colours can be supplied on demand.
All models are supplied with captured stainless-steel lid fixings, and an internal earth bar.
As per the regulations, stainless-steel earth connections are also located on the outside of these enclosures for easy connection.
Screw pillars on the inside of the lid and base, are provided for mounting assemblies and DIN rails.
The Alukom-Ex enclosures can also be supplied fully fitted with terminals and cable glands in accordance with the customer's specifications.
