Round cases turn to Euro plug assemblies

OKW has extended its novel round Art-Case enclosures with a new range of models which have an integrated Euro plug in the base part.

OKW has extended its novel round Art-Case enclosures with a new range of models which have an integrated Euro plug in the base part.

The plug is manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE0620 part 101.

Typical applications will include home user electronics, for example in bathrooms and kitchens, devices for hotels and public buildings, industrial monitoring equipment, security devices and medical equipment.

The Art-Cases have an attractive and tactile round design which is ideal for modern electronics.

The cases are moulded in off-white ABS (UL94HB); however, other colours including black can be moulded on demand.

Fast assembly is facilitated by a bayonet locking system that is invisible from the outside so as not to spoil the lines of the enclosure.

For electrical safety, four fixing screws are supplied to lock the case securely.

The new plug Art-Cases are available in four different models.

The bottom parts are offered with the plug square to the case or inclined to improve the viewing angle.

The top part is available with a domed surface or a flat recessed area for a membrane keypad.

The external dimensions are 100mm diameter with heights of 30, 38 and 41mm (not including the plug).

The membrane recess will accept a keypad of 72mm diameter by 1mm.

Internal screw pillars are moulded into the top and base part for mounting PCBs.

OKW can also supply the Art-Cases fully finished with all cutouts etc ready for final assembly of the electronics.
