Soft-Cases are ergonomically shaped, highly tactile, handheld enclosures that have been designed to house the latest pocket size electronics Typical applications will include measurement and digital control devices - wireless or with cable connections, medical and laboratory equipment and peripherals and interfaces

The Soft-Cases can easily accommodate electronic devices with wide format LCDs or keypads.

The top part has a wide recessed area for locating the display or membrane keypad, and a raised panel on the long edge of the base part is designed for fitting a series of connectors, such as USB, power, serial etc.

These cases are moulded ABS (UL94HB) in off-white, RAL 9002, and have external dimensions of 105 x 65 x 19mm.

Two models are offered, with or without a battery compartment for two 1.5V AAA cells.

Screw pillars are provided in the top and base parts for fitting the PCBs, and the cases are assembled by four self-tapping screws.

Accessories include an off-white ABS intermediate ring which increases the internal height by 3mm, and an IP54 protection ring which is moulded in soft TPE material, and acts as a grip and bump protector for the unit, as well as increasing the height by 3mm.

OKW can supply the Soft-Cases with additional holes for pushbuttons, connectors and displays etc, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMC shielding.
