New slant on desktop enclosures

These modern desktop enclosures feature an attractive soft-line design with a 10-degree ergonomically inclined operating area, which ensures fatigue-free operation of the unit.
The Comtec enclosures are moulded in off-white or black ABS (UL94HB).
The cases are assembled by an interlocking system at the front and by two self-tapping screws at the rear.
This simple and fast assembly system also allows access for servicing, if the cases are wall mounted.
A separate wall mounting kit is offered for this.
The new 290H versions have external dimensions of 290 x 200 x 76mm, and complement the existing six sizes which range from 120 x 150 x 43 to 200 x 150 x 63mm.
The top panel on all models has a recessed area for fitting a membrane keypad or product label.
On the smaller models, optional battery compartment cradles can be fitted in the base section.
These will accept one or two 9V cells, or four 1.5V AA cells.
Screw pillars are provided in the top and base for mounting PCBs etc.
OKW can supply the Comtec cases with additional holes for pushbuttons, connectors and displays etc, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos and EMC shielding.
The cases can also be moulded or painted in alternative colours.
