Heatsinks allow designers to use compact crossflow fans as active cooling modules.

A new range of heatsinks will allow designers to use OLC's compact crossflow fans as active cooling modules The AFF series heatsinks are specially designed with aerofoil-shaped fins to significantly reduce air pressure drop and to provide true thermal resistance of less than 0.5C/W

Unlike traditional axial flow fans, OLC's novel crossflow fans (blowers) can provide true parallel airflow through the fins of the heatsinks, enabling highly efficient cooling within a limited footprint.
