Low-profile modules get active on
cooling
Compact active cooling modules combine crossflow fans with special airfoil-fin heatsinks.
A new range of active cooling modules combines the world's smallest crossflow fans with special airfoil-fin heatsinks The ACM1B, ACM2B and ACM3B provide true thermal resistance from 2 down to 0.35C/W with very low profiles of no more than 30mm
Their cooling efficiency and low profile are superior to those possible using active cooling modules based on axial flow fans.
Thanks to the unique parallel airflow generated by OLC's crossflow fan, the flow through all airfoil fins attains linear velocities from more than 2.5 to 7.5m/s.
