High efficiency for compact power supplies
Omron has extended its range of power supplies with the launch of the S8PE - a powerful, high efficiency, new line of 3-phase power supplies designed for industrial applications.
The new G8P series achieves UL Class F insulation for ambient temperature ratings from -55 to +105C, and also meets UL873 and UL 508 Column-A spacing requirements up to 300V.
Compact package dimensions of 32.9 x 28.2 x 21.8mm allow new levels of miniaturisation in many applications including air conditioners and boiler controls in HVAC applications, plus oven, heater and lighting controls in the appliance industry.
Minimum impulse withstand voltage of 6kV ensures protection against many potential surge hazards.
The G8P series provides a selection of small, inexpensive relays capable of switching high power loads up to 30A/250V AC (20A at 28V DC).
The model range spans coil ratings from 5 to 110V DC in SPST and SPDT configurations, and in open-frame, sealed-ventable and vented enclosures.
All G8P models have a maximum operating time of 15ms and a maximum release time of 10ms, with less than 100mohm contact resistance to maximise operating efficiency.
Overall power consumption is approximately 900mW.
The durable mechanical movement operates from 10 to 55Hz and can withstand shocks up to 10G without malfunction.
Mechanical service life is 10,000,000 operations minimum.
Electrical service life is 100,000 operations minimum at full rated load.
Insulation resistance at 500V DC is 10Mohm minimum and dielectric strength is 1500V AC 50/60Hz for 1min.
