A miniature RF relay from Omron embodies new technology to provide extremely low loss, high integrity switching of RF signals up to 2.5GHz and 10W.

A miniature RF relay from Omron embodies new technology to provide extremely low loss, high integrity switching of RF signals up to 2.5GHz and 10W The relay is ideal for redundancy, filter and amplifier switching in mobile phone basestation (BTS), wireless LAN, private mobile radio (PMR) and associated test and measurement equipment

Engineered to minimise insertion loss and VSWR, the new Omron G6W offers outstanding RF performance wherever high frequency isolation, termination and signal routing is required.

Premium performance has been achieved within a miniature surface mount package by using Omron's triplate microstrip type transmission lines.

As a result, the G6W achieves HF characteristics of minimum 60dB isolation and maximum insertion loss of 0.2dB at 2.5GHz (50ohm), in an ultra miniature surface mounting or through hole package of 20 x 9.4 x 8.9 mm.

Where "best in class" isolation is required the convex "land" on the underside may be soldered to the ground pattern on the PCB.

G6W employs a Y-shape terminal arrangement that simplifies PCB layout.

Conventional E type terminal arrangement and reverse contact form versions are also available.

Supplied in SPDT configuration, the G6W is available with input options include single side stable, and single and double coil latching in 3, 4.5, 6, 9, 12 and 24V DC.

Power consumption is typically 200 or 360mW depending on model.

All models are fully sealed and compatible with infrared, dense wave soldering and similar precision PCB mounting processes.
