New MOSFET relays with a current limit function are ideal for routers, switches, desk phones, feature phones, modems and other dial up systems with a hook function.

New mosfet relays with a current limit function are ideal for routers, switches, desk phones, feature phones, modems and other dial up systems with a hook function The Omron G3VM-2(F)L and -3(F)L are ideal for controlling overcurrent fault conditions in telecomms equipment, and can also be used to resist transient and short circuit conditions

These devices offer fast on and off response times, of typically just 0.1ms.

The G3VM-2(F)L is a particularly compact device, being packed in a 4-pin through hole or surface mount inline style.

Footprint is just 4.6 x 3.4 x 7.6mm.

The 3(F)L style is packaged in a six-pin dual inline format.

Also ideal for telecomms applications are Omron's high-isolation mosfet relays with line isolation capabilities of up to 5kV AC for reinforced line isolation and hook switch functions in high specification telemetry and dial up equipment.

Omron's G3VM-401BY and 601BY switch loads of 400 and 600V, respectively, and are specified for demanding telecomms installations.

Performance is extremely competitive, with a typical turn-on time of just 0.2ms, and turn-off time of just 0.1ms.

Omron mosfet relays are the ideal solution in telecomms systems for line seizing, line switching, hook switching, data access arrangement function, line transformer circuit control, and other feature phone functions, they are also highly suitable for the long-life high-reliability requirements of central office systems, in the areas of subscriber line interfaces, multiplexers and routers.

Their small size and low on-resistance are highly favourable for local area networks and line termination units, including set top boxes.
