High efficiency for compact power supplies
Omron has extended its range of power supplies with the launch of the S8PE - a powerful, high efficiency, new line of 3-phase power supplies designed for industrial applications.
Omron is adding a four-channel LX4, and an eight-channel ITU-T version alongside the existing standard four-channel model P1X4A, claimed by the company to be the smallest passive CWDM mux/demux solutions in the world.
In addition, new five- and nine-channel devices will address the need for 4+1 and 8+1 configurations in applications requiring an "express" channel.
The P1X series is based on Omron's highly successful Precision Arrayed and Combined Solutions (PACS) architecture.
The use of a micro lens array (MLA) and thin-film filters very precisely mounted in a glass block assembly, working in conjunction with an integral mirror, ensures low insertion loss, good channel uniformity and respectable crosstalk performance.
Using a proprietary small component count structure, the PIX series achieves an exceptionally ultracompact form factor of 14.5 x 7.2 x 4.7mm.
Also on display will be Omron's recently announced "B" version 1x2, 2x2 and 1x8 single mode optical switches.
The P1S12-B, P1S22-B and P1S18-B switches offer reduced insertion loss and higher repeatability meeting the needs of demanding applications such as OXC, OADM, ring protect (restoration), signal monitoring, routing and testing in transmission and metro access networks.
The P1S12-B and P1S22-B models are compact (12.6 x 31.6 x 8.4mm) featuring a space-saving design achieved by micro optic "VW" mirrored prisms.
The P1S18-B is the smallest of its type (16 x 63.5 x 8.5mm) developed around an all-new purpose-made polarised magnetic linear actuator assembly, consisting of a specially developed sensor and latch mechanism coupled to a prism.
This enables the switch to offer a true bidirectional function and accurately set and maintain a latched condition regardless of axis or inclination.
