SSOP-packaged MOSFET relays deliver designers a board space savings of 67% when compared with a standard SOP package.

Available now from Omron Electronic Components are the G3VM-21LR and 41LR series of SSOP-packaged MOSFET relays The relays measure just 1.8 x 2 x 3.8mm, and will deliver designers a board space savings of 67% when compared with a standard SOP package

Their solid-state, high reliability construction delivers hundreds of millions of operations with low power consumption.

The MOSFET chip is available in a 1-Form-A contact configuration, provides fast turn-on and turn-off times in the microsecond range, and is capable of handling both AC and DC loads.

On-resistance as low as 1ohm and off-state capacitance beginning as low as 1pF ensures accuracy and precision.

This series also boasts the lowest available range of C x R values in the industry starting at 2.5pF-ohm.

All of these features combined make the G3VM-21LR and 41LR series a clear choice for medical imaging applications such as CT (computed tomography), MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and ultrasound equipment.

"Omron's SSOP MOS FET relays deliver precision, speed, reliability, and indefinite life for any medical imaging application", said Cami Marsh, Marketing Communications Co-ordinator of Omron Electronic Components.

In quantities of 10,000 pieces, the cost ranges from US $6.79 to $7.10 (depending on the model) and delivery is stock to 12 weeks.
