Omron's Smartclick connector system reduces assembly time compared to screw styles.
Omron Electronic Components has added the XS5M panel-mount plugs and XS5P panel-mount sockets in both front and rear panel-mount versions to its Smartclick connector line.
These IP67-rated circular industrial connectors feature a one-touch bayonet locking system, enabling connection in just 1/8th of a turn.
When coupled with Omron's XS5 connectors they provide a superior circuit connection and an audible and tactile click indicating secure locking.
They are also compatible with traditional screw-on type M12 connectors.
They are shipped with 0.5m long 20AWG colour-coded leads.

Assemblers will experience less fatigue and easier "blind mating".
The connectors also provide optimum seal performance when compared to screw styles because the chance of over or under tightening seals has been eliminated.
Improved shock/vibration resistance combined with a connector that will not unscrew ensures the connection, reducing costly equipment downtime.
