VP roles for Chan and Yang
The OmniVision Technologies board of directors has approved the appointment of Anson Chan as Vice President of Finance and the appointment of Henry Yang as Vice President of Engineering.
The OmniVision Technologies board of directors has approved the appointment of Anson Chan as Vice President of Finance and the appointment of Henry Yang as Vice President of Engineering.
"Both Anson and Henry have demonstrated a high level of quality work and their commitment to OmniVision", said Shaw Hong, OmniVision's President and Chief Executive Officer.
"Anson was on the OmniVision engagement team at PricewaterhouseCoopers for several years and is a welcome addition to our finance team, and Henry has played a key role in the successes of OmniVision's engineering teams over the past 11 years".
Anson Chan, who joined the company in July of 2006 has over ten years experience in accounting and finance coupled with an additional five years of engineering.
Anson spent approximately ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he dealt extensively with all finance functions, ranging from initial public offerings to Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance projects.
Prior to PwC, Chan worked as a systems programmer for Prophet 21.
He earned his MBA at the University of Chicago, his BS in economics at Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his BS in engineering at the Moore School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Henry Yang, who has been with OmniVision since 1996, has in-depth knowledge of OmniVision's product engineering.
Yang is filling the position vacated by James He, who was promoted to Chief Operating Officer last August.
Most recently, Yang served as the Director of Engineering, where he concentrated on sensor design, circuit improvements and project management.
He earned his PhD, ME and BE in electrical engineering from the Tsinghua University in China.
