Jataayu' software products, including browsing and messaging applications, will then be available to handset markers directly from Open-Plug as part of the leading-edge ELIPS open platform for mass market phones.

"Jataayu's WAP browsing and messaging solutions have been used by Open-Plug's customers for more than one year", said Eric Baissus, CEO of Open-Plug.

"We are happy to move our business relationship ahead with a leading player adopted by more than 20 handset manufacturers".

"As par of our agreement, we will deliver and support their applications integrated and validated with our ELIPS Framework and Application Suite products, further reducing the effort of our customers to make phones".

This co-operation is part of a broader initiative from Open-Plug to further improve the already dramatically reduced time to market enjoyed by ELIPS customers.

Open-Plug will act as a one-stop-shop licensing a system solution that includes a comprehensive application set and MMI precertified on selected hardware platforms enabling the rapid development of high end multimedia phones.

Extensive flexibility and customizability are maintained delivering handsets makers the unique benefits of the ELIPS Product Suite.
