One RF Technology is aiming to present a release 8.0 compliant ZigBee platform at the next ZigFest member meeting in October 2006.

One RF Technology follows the developments of the ZigBee standard closely and develops its own in-house firmware accordingly.

At the ZigFest member meeting held in October 2006, One RF Technology will test the latest version of its in-house ZigBee stack.

The company plans to offer a fully ZigBee compliant platform to its customers as soon as the ZigBee Alliance has finalised the development of the ZigBee stack (release 8.0).

A ZigBee compliant platform consists of a 802.15.4 compliant physical (PHY) and medium access control (MAC) layers, a ZigBee network layer (NWK) and an application layer (APP).

R and D Manager of One RF Technology, Xavier Tatopoulos, puts a clear emphasis on the company's ZigBee development: "We strive to offer our customers the latest know-how in RF technology found on the market".

"That is why we follow the developments of the industry closely".

"To have a fully compliant in-house ZigBee stack is one of the corner stones of our company mission".

One RF Technology offers its customers ZigBee ready radio solutions as well as ZigBee education and consultancy.

The One RF Technology in-house ZigBee Stack is available in the company's TinyOne product family.

One RF Technology is currently developing a new version of the TinyOne ZigBee RF module.

The new version of the TinyOne ZigBee module is scheduled to be released in Q4 2006.
