Powerful lineup at Californian show
ON Semiconductor will present a number of technical papers and exhibit its innovative power products at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) in Anaheim, California.

"A five year power technology roadmap" is the conference keynote to be presented by Charles E Mullett, ON Semiconductor Principal Systems Engineer, on Monday 23rd February.
The presentation will review the triennial road-mapping workshop sponsored by the Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) and will include an overview of the technical challenges facing power supply designers and electronics manufacturers during the next five years.
Among the challenges to be discussed are an expected need for a 200% improvement in power density and a 250% improvement in switching frequency by 2008.
"Driving efficient power solutions from standby to active mode" will be presented on Wednesday 25th February by Dhaval Dalal, ON Semiconductor Technical Marketing Director for Power Supply Products and Christophe Basso, Senior Application Engineer.
"The impact of semiconductor technology development on the power processing industry" will be presented on Thursday 26th Feburary by Dhaval Dalal and Brant Johnson, Senior Systems Engineer.
After the show, copies of all three presentations will be available form the ON Semiconductor website.
Product highlights on show will include: AC/DC SMPS controllers and regulators, featuring unparalleled power efficiency; power factor correction ICs for all power ranges, including unique single-stage conversion solution and follower boost solution; and integrated solutions for 48V input systems that combine a PWM controller, a high-voltage startup circuit and high-voltage power switch, as well as housekeeping and protection functions, into a space-saving SO8 or Micro8 package.
