Chinese joint venture makes the top 10
ON Semiconductor's Leshan-Phoenix Semiconductor Company joint venture has been ranked among China's top 10 semiconductor assembly and test enterprises for 2005.

These components are widely used in an array of electronics including communications systems, white goods, automobiles, computers and consumer products ranging from cellular phones to portable gaming devices and televisions.

Leshan-Phoenix Semiconductor is a joint venture between ON Semiconductor and Leshan Radio Company Limited.
ON Semiconductor was one of the first multinationals to invest in China's western region.
Backed by strong government support and substantial collaboration from the Chinese partner, Leshan-Phoenix Semiconductor represents 10 years of investment and development.
One of the largest foreign investment enterprises and electronics exporters in Sichuan Province, Leshan-Phoenix Semiconductor is an ON Semiconductor centre of excellence for manufacturing in China and throughout the world.
In addition to the successful joint venture in Sichuan Province, ON Semiconductor has a strong presence throughout China, with sales offices in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Hong Kong, and a design centre in Hong Kong.
In 2005, approximately 30% of the company's global sales revenues were generated in China.
