Seven high-speed low-power operational amplifiers are designed for the rapidly growing high-definition video applications market.

Expanding its existing high-speed low-power operational amplifier portfolio, ON Semiconductor has introduced seven new devices designed for the rapidly growing high-definition video applications market The op amps utilised new technologies to achieve the ultra low distortion performance levels required by professional video applications

ON Semiconductor's NCS25xx family of high-speed op amps enable designers to achieve an unprecedented bandwidth, output power and noise performance, without having to make a cost tradeoff.

These 500MHz to 1.4GHz devices allow video designers to achieve 0.02% differential gain and 0.02-degree differential phase performance, while only consuming up to 12mA of current draw.

The NCS2510 and NCS2511 are current feedback devices of 1.4 and 1.0GHz, respectively.

The NCS2511 only consumes 7.5mA of power versus the 12mA of the NCS2510.

Both devices are offered in TSOP-5/SOT-23-5 packages.

The NCS2510 and NCS2511 are priced, respectively, at $1.40 and $1.25 per unit in 3000 unit quantities.

The NCS2535 and NCS2540 are triple op amps, ideal for driving component video.

The NCS2535 is a 1.4GHz current feedback device with disable; the NCS2540 is a 750MHz voltage feedback device with disable.

Both devices are offered in TSSOP-16 packages.

The NCS2535 and NCS2540 are priced, respectively, at $1.90 and $1.75 per unit for the same quantity.

The NCS2550 and NCS2552 are voltage feedback devices of 750MHz.

The NCS2552 comes with an ultrafast enable feature allowing enable times in the range of 5ns.

The NCS2550 is offered in a TSOP-5/SOT-23-5 package, whereas the NCS2552 is offered in the TSOP-6/SOT-23-6 package.

The NCS2550 and NCS2552 are priced, respectively, at $1.35 and $1.40 per unit in 3000 unit quantities.

The NCS2551 is a voltage feedback device of 500MHz.

This device has a slew rate of 1400V/us, but only consumes 5.5mA of current draw.

The NCS2551 is offered in a TSOP-5/SOT-23-5 package, and priced at $1.25 per unit in 3000 unit quantities.

"ON Semiconductor is dedicated to developing high-performance solutions for the demanding, high-growth video and multi-media markets", said Bill Schromm, ON Semiconductor Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing Products group.

"These high speed op amps are an important aspect of our growth into the digital consumer market space".
