Allied expands North American distribution

Allied Electronics will carry Optek's full product offering, including fibre optic devices, optoelectronic components, magnetic sensors and LED components and assemblies.

TT Electronics Optek Technology has added Allied Electronics to its North American distributor network.

Established in 1928 and headquartered in Forth Worth, Texas, Allied Electronics, distributes a wide range of products, including active and passive components.

"Allied has many years of experience in the electronics industry, and we believe this partnership will allow our respective organisations to continue to grow", said Alan Bennett, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Optek Technology.

"With 56 sales branches throughout the United States and Canada, Allied is well equipped to meet the needs of all of our North American customers".

Although Allied Electronics will place emphasis on Optek's visible LED products, the company will carry Optek's full product offering, including fibre optic devices, optoelectronic components, magnetic sensors and LED components and assemblies.
