Automatic fare collection systems form the core business, with the other four comprising security related business, traffic system business, electric payment business and software business.

Omron and Founder expect a full-scale business deployment and volume of Y10 billion within three years.

The alliance also calls for the creation of the Omron-Founder SSB R and D Centre, to be established within Founder facilities later this year.

The new R and D centre will pursue multidisciplinary research for the Chinese market, and sales and solutions support including product demo and software development for both the Chinese and Japanese markets.
