Ericsson gets real development from OSE

Ericsson will deploy OSE in next-generation mobile phone platforms enabling worldwide handset manufacturers to reduce technology costs and speed time-to-market.
As part of a nonexclusive agreement, OSE, the worldwide leader of real-time operating systems (RTOS) technology for the wireless market, will deliver the OSE Wireless Platform, accessory products and related development tools for the Ericsson 3G and 2.5G (including GPRS) platforms.
These platforms are based on Ericsson's core mobile handset technology and address the total range of handsets, from feature phones to smart phones with desktop-like capabilities and business-to-business terminals.

OSE offers a complete and extended RTOS solution with special capabilities for 3G and 2.5G handsets such as multicore support, dynamic program loading in runtime, memory protection for downloaded applications, advanced FLASH support, crash safe file system, virtual memory, power management capabilities, networking, Bluetooth, Java and graphics, user applications such as Web Browser and email client.
The OSE Wireless Platform supports all ARM architectures and a majority of DSP architectures.
