Enea and Kontron collaborate on telecoms

Enea and Kontron will demonstrate their joint product at 3GSM on Feb 12, 2007 in Barcelona, Spain.
The demo will be hosted at the Enea "Screening Room", where Enea will provide an advance look at the future of network convergence.
The "Screening Room" is located in Suite HS08 in the Gallery at the top of Hall 3 overlooking the central FIRA courtyard.
"AdvancedTCA is quickly becoming the open platform of choice for telecom infrastructure applications", says Linda Thompson, vice president of corporate alliances at Enea.
"Our high-availability software framework, together with Kontron's carrier-grade ATCA modular systems, provides a scalable off-the-shelf platform for building next-generation infrastructure equipment that delivers continuous, high-quality converged data, voice, and video services".
"Network equipment providers increasingly rely on their suppliers to provide turnkey solutions to get to market sooner and focus precious engineering resources on value-added application and service development", says Benoit Robert, executive director for product marketing at Kontron.

Kontron's modular, high-performance ATCA systems, combined with Enea's carrier-grade software framework, will provide network supervision, fault management, device management and data management services.
This pre-integrated package gives equipment makers the flexible, high-availability platform they need to quickly build the scalable, upgradeable, "five nines" equipment that carriers need to deliver uninterrupted, high-quality multimedia services over IP networks with reduced capital and operating expenditure.
