The XE-700 is the latest Octagon single board computer in the new international standard Epic format.

The XE-700 is the latest Octagon single board computer in the new international standard Epic format.

The XE-700 incorporates the STPC Atlas, 32bit 5x86 class CPU, and is bootable from CompactFlash.

It can operate a reduced clock for lower power operation.

This new 133MHz Epic SBC integrates video, serial ports, Ethernet, digital I/O, USB and PC/104 into a single card.

It has 64Mbyte of DRAM and supports up to 8Mbyte of CompactFlash.

Like all Octagon products, the XE-700 is designed to operate in extreme environments where reliability is a major concern.

Targeted applications are transportation, security, military, communications, Scada and other applications that lack environmental controls.

The XE-700 will withstand 40g shock and 5g vibration, and operates over a -40 to +85C temperature range.

It features two USB ports; four RS232/422/485 serial ports; 24 lines of bit-programmable, digital I/O with 16mA sink/source capability; 10/100Base-T Ethernet; CRT and TFT video controller; and PC/104 expansion.

The companion XE-700 OS Embedder kits, are available for Linux 2.6, QNX and DOS.

These kits are a combination of hardware and software for "instant on" operation of the XE-700.

The single piece price is $495 with volume discounts available.
