A new range of RGB backlights is now available from the Optoelectronic Manufacturing Corporation (UK).

This extends OMC's already comprehensive range of backlights.

"The new RGB backlights will make products stand out, as you can tune the backlight colour to match your company colours or logos", comments James Wills-Jose, Sales Manager at OMC.

RGB backlights are replacing traditional LED colours, which have been around for many years, giving designers the ability to select any colour they may require.

The new backlights also offer the possibility to fade through the entire colour spectrum.

Colours such as purple, mauve and pastel greens can now be created.

Converting any of OMC's standard range backlights to full RGB can be achieved with only a minimum of design change.

Customers currently using OMC's edge-lit backlight range can easily swap to the new RGB backlight using OMC's new backlight emitter, developed to complement the existing backlight range.

For customers currently at design stage, OMC also offers a new backlight using multilayer diffusion technology, ensuring an even panel with easy PCB connection.
