A provider of flexible tools and processes for the engineering of nanoscale structures and devices has appointed Andy Matthews as its new Managing Director

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology (OIPT) has appointed Andy Matthews as its new Managing Director Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology is a leading provider of flexible process tools and leading-edge processes for the engineering of nanoscale structures and devices, based on core technologies in plasma-enhanced deposition and etch, ion-beam deposition and etch, atomic layer deposition (ALD) and molecular beam epitaxy (MBE)

Matthews joins Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology from IMI where he was Managing Director of IMI Webber , (automotive and pneumatic components supplier) as well as being responsible for the R and D board within his division.

Matthews has a great deal of experience in both product design and senior technical roles, within IMI and companies such as British Aerospace and Schlumberger.

'I have a passion for technology and innovation and these are the key drivers for our business", he says.

"My extensive experience with new product introduction will further strengthen Oxford Instruments' ability to provide new generation tools to satisfy our customer's material processing needs." As a Managing Director, Matthews has an impressive track record of both business and product growth - one of the company's main objectives.
