Laser pump diodes come in low-cost
packages
Pumps target cost-sensitive industrial markets including small continuous-wave lasers, small/low-cost pulsed lasers, and some midrange continuous-wave and small military systems.
A new family of high-reliability single-emitter laser pump diodes from Alfalight is available in economical, convenient uncooled 6-pin packages The AM6-915B family, available via Pacer, provides 10W of 915nm light output with a high brightness 105um, 0.15 or 0.22 NA fibre

High-speed fibre-optic laser and receiver
The lasers and detectors division of Pacer Components has announced a new pair of 2.5Gbit fibre-optic components.
The high-reliability single-emitter diode includes a thermistor for temperature monitoring, and is available in an uncooled, compact 6-pin industrial grade package that simplifies PCB mounting.
More compact than competing devices, the high-power Alfalight pumps target cost-sensitive industrial markets including small continuous-wave lasers, small/low-cost pulsed lasers, and some midrange continuous-wave and small military systems.
The company aims to drive down the cost/power ratio to meet industrial customer needs for greater value in high-reliability laser pump diodes.
Engineering samples and production volumes are available now from Pacer, with pricing on request.
Two variants are offered, both in 6-pin industrial grade package: the AM6-915B-10-108 for 0.15 NA fibre; and the AM6-915B-20-108 for 0.22 NA fibre. Request a free brochure from Pacer International ...
