Pacer offers laser diodes from Alfalight

A series of pump laser diodes from Alfalight is available in compact uncooled packages from Pacer International.

The AM6-976E series provides 10W of 976nm light output with high brightness 105um, 0.15 or 0.22 NA fibres.

The main applications for these diodes include pulsed fibre lasers and fibre amplifier systems.

The higher output diode includes a thermistor for temperature monitoring, supporting precision wavelength control at 976nm.

It is available in a six-pin Telcordia-qualified, hermetic housing and has an expected mean time to failure exceeding 100,000 hours.

Engineering samples and production volumes are available now from Pacer.
