The MSR from Panasonic Factory Automation is a high-speed, versatile rotary placement system capable of placement at speeds as high as 45,000 components per hour.

The MSR from Panasonic Factory Automation is a high-speed, versatile rotary placement system capable of placement at speeds as high as 45,000 components per hour The MSR is equipped with 16 placement heads, each of which is configured with six nozzle types to accommodate the full range of components from 0201 microchips to 32mm2 QFPs

The versatile camera recognition system is capable of all ball detection of CSPs and BGAs with a ball pitch down to 0.5mm.

A new head design provides optimum accuracy to accommodate future trends in component technology and adjacent component placement of 100 microns.

An automatic height adjustment feature allows precise placement of components during production.

Panasonic's MSR is capable of handling a wide range of board sizes from 50 x 50mm to 510 x 460mm and PCB thicknesses between 0.5 and 4.0mm.

Optimised for maximum throughput, the MSR has a split carriage supply system that can be configured with up to 300 feeder inputs.

200 and 120 feeder input versions are also available with the latter having a floor space of only 7.3m2.

This system minimises downtime by allowing the operator to exchange components during machine operation.

Designed for maximum ease of use, the MSR offers a simple, menu-driven interface and is fully compatible with Panasonic's PanaPro and PanaCIM manufacturing software.

This software provides line-balanced optimised NC program generation, real-time line monitoring, SPC alert charting and component and board tracking.
