A 60/40 centre-space encoder has a large-diameter knob for easy use.

Panasonic has succeeded in commercialising the 60/40-type centre-space encoder with outer diameter of 60mm and inner diameter of 40mm as control devices used for automotive electronic applications, including temperature control of car air-conditioners and volume control of car audio systems Along with the improvement in safety and operability in the automotive electronic industry, larger diameter knobs on operational panels and centralised control-systems controlling temperatures etc in one position have come into wider use

The market is demanding incremental encoders with large outer-diameter dimensions and a centre space of approximately 40mm in inner diameter on which other switches or LEDs can be easily mounted.

To meet the market demand, Panasonic has developed the 60/40 type center space encoder with outer diameter of 60mm and inner diameter of 40mm, and now is ready to supply samples.
