The P201/GI Series from Peak Test Services is a range of switch probes designed for use in test modules for checking wiring harnesses in the automotive industry The design of the new probes results in considerable reduction in maintenance time and effort if a contact has to be changed
Unlike traditional techniques which require the complete module to be removed, the new probe and receptacle are fitted with a specially designed pin and a socket inside the receptacle.
The wire is soldered directly onto the connector pin of the receptacle, allowing the switch probe to be replaced without rewiring.
The new devices are available in a wide range of tip styles, and have a working travel of 4 mm and a switch travel of 1.7mm.
They can handle currents of up to 5A.
