A new threaded probe and receptacle from Peak Test Services are designed for use in tests on connectors such as the SCART sockets used in modern televisions and VCRs The new P28/G-YL threaded probe offers a number of benefits over the standard push-fit P307-YL probe
The screwed construction eliminates the 'walk-out' effects that can occur with standard probes when subjected to heavy axial loads, leading to improved reliability.
The probe is also easier to install and replace, and offers a higher current rating of 5A continuous.
An even higher-current version, the P28/G-YLX, has a 10A continuous current rating.
The probe is also suited to the testing of wiring harnesses in the automotive industry.
A variety of twist-proof tip styles is available.
