Peak Test Services has introduced a new range of threaded switch test probes, the P202/GI5 Series, designed for use with 2.54mm (0.1in) centres.

Peak Test Services has introduced a new range of threaded switch test probes, the P202/GI5 Series, designed for use with 2.54mm (0.1in) centres.

The new devices feature the quick-exchange solderless probe replacement technique, as pioneered by Peak with the 201/GI family for 4.0mm centres.

The fact that the probe is threaded at the top of the barrel leads to a more robust assembly, even with the 2.54mm centre spacing.

In addition to the threaded barrel, the probe features a special plug for mating into the switch receptacle.

As both wires are soldered to the switch receptacle, there are no direct wire connections to the probe itself, allowing it to simply be unscrewed using Peak's probe insertion tool.

A full range of tip styles is available to sort all types of switch-probe applications.

The range also includes an insulated-tip version.

This new probe range is available from Peak Test Services in the UK and Ireland or via a network of agents worldwide.
