Papst's parent company Papst-Motoren of Germany has received certification of its quality management system to ISO/TS16949.

The certificate is based on the QA standard ISO9001, but significantly it also contains additional requirements of the most renowned automobile manufacturers throughout the world.

Certification to ISO/TS16949 is a guarantee to the automobile industry that Papst is a high reliability supplier, who manufactures products of excellent quality.

Recognised worldwide, the certificate represents a quality standard that is the result of attempts by the IATF (International Automotive Task Force) and national automobile associations to create a harmonised standard.

The standard refers to the entire business process of the company, from design and development, through production and on to final inspection and delivery.

Users from all sectors of fan and drive technology - as well as automotive engineers - will benefit from the fact that ventilation and drive components and products manufactured by Papst fulfil the exacting quality requirements of the automobile industry, even though they may not all be solely intended for use in vehicles.

Papst has supplied fan solutions for a number of prestigious automotive projects including F1 (both in-vehicle and peripheral equipment), and for use as cooling fans within the seats of a prestigious German vehicle manufacturer.
