New name for Papst

As part of a move that creates a single global brand, leading fan and drives company Papst has changed its name to ebm-papst Automotive and Drives (UK).

As part of a move that creates a single global brand, leading fan and drives company Papst has changed its name to ebm-papst Automotive and Drives (UK).

Commenting, Gareth Jones, Managing Director stated: "The inclusion of ebm and Papst - our two most recognised, respected and powerful brands - in the new company name forms part of a global initiative that sees all our group companies undergoing a similar metamorphosis to their name and branding activity".

"We believe that the global focus on a single brand will raise our corporate recognition and perception even higher.

Additionally, our reputation for excellence in the automotive field and our specialist knowledge for electronically commutated drives is also reflected in the name change here in the UK".

Thomas Borst, UK Chairman and Managing Director for Global Sales and Marketing stated: "With 15 manufacturing sites, 7200 employees and 47 sales and distribution facilities world wide we believe that a common identity and consistent brand for our group will be of enormous benefit in the global markets in which we operate".
