Compact blower performs quietly
Featuring a special design of spiral housing, the RL65 radial blower offers the advantages of a low noise performance combined with a very compact size.
Radial blower provides high-pressure cooling
Ideal for use in portable or automotive applications, the diminutive RER1 radial blower provides a high level of airflow against high backpressure.
Two models are available suffixed H or L signifying high or low power.
The 4.5W RV40-18/12H offers nominal speed and airflow figures of 5000rev/min and 467 litre/min, and the 2.3W RV40-18/12L, 3900rev/min and 300 litre/min, respectively.
The RV40 DC radial blower has an electronically commutated external rotor motor with fully integrated commutation electronics, so no external control circuitry is required.
As an EMI compliant device, the blower can be connected directly to the supply voltage.
With a life span five times longer than competitors' brushed motors, the brushless RV40 features a spiral housing and a blower wheel made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic for low weight, quick startup/acceleration, and quiet operation for "in-cabin" applications.
Providing long life and high reliability, the RV40 has overvoltage and reverse polarity protection, so it will not be damaged by supply line voltage spikes/variations or misconnection following maintenance.
The blower's nominal operating voltage is 12V, however a range of 9 to 16V is accommodated.
Able to operate in an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70C, the RV40 boasts a service life of 25 to 70kh depending on operating temperature.
The increased use of electronics in vehicles creates more heat that has to be dissipated.
This factor together with increased passenger comfort and safety are driving the demand for this type of high performance, specialised product from ebm-papst.
The RV40 is designed and manufactured in Europe, features a CFD designed impeller, electronic commutation and ball bearing system for long life, and benefits from ebm-papst's 40 years experience and legendary build quality in fan and motor design.
