Pickering Interfaces has a range of BRIC second-generation PXI multislot matrix modules.

Pickering Interfaces has a range of BRIC second-generation PXI multislot matrix modules Designated the 40-560 PXI BRIC range, these ultra high-density systems are available in four- or eight-slot PXI sizes to suit all high performance PXI matrix requirements

Truly a world's first, the modules are produced using instrumentation quality, high reliability ruthenium reed relays, offering better than 100 million operations to give maximum switching confidence with long life and very stable contact resistance.

Typical applications include signal routing for in-circuit or functional ATE systems.

With this high level of switching density 40-560 PXI matrix modules allow a complete functional ATE system to be housed in a single 18-slot 3U PXI chassis.

The BRIC4 units are four-slot PXI modules that can hold up to six matrix daughtercards, providing in excess of 2200 crosspoints.

The BRIC8 units are eight-slot PXI modules, which can hold up to 12 matrix daughtercards, providing more than 4400 crosspoints.

The range consists of three different relay types: the 40-560 has one-pole matrix switching the BRIC4 then having a maximum configuration of 276 x 8 or 138 x 16 and the BRIC8 a lay out up to 552 x 8 or 276 x 16.

While the 40-561 has a one-pole, one-pole screened or two-pole layout providing the BRIC4 with up to 156 x 8 or 78 x 16 or the BRIC8 with a 312 x 8 or 156 x 16 arrangement.

Finally the 40-562 is a one-pole, one-pole screened or two-pole option that gives the BRIC4 up to 132 x 8 or 66 x 16 pattern and the BRIC8 up to 264 x 8 or 132 x 16.
