A novel portable eight-slot PXI mainframe from Pickering Interfaces features an industry-standard eight-slot PXI/cPCI backplane integrated into a 3U cardcage.

A novel portable eight-slot PXI mainframe from Pickering Interfaces features an industry-standard eight-slot PXI/cPCI backplane integrated into a 3U cardcage The Model 40-908P has a high-impact-resistance plastic housing, with an integrated folding keyboard, trackpad and 14.1in touch panel LCD

The 40-908P has two 175W plug-in power supplies each capable of powering the entire system, thus permitting power supply replacement without compromising the systems operation.

Power supply voltage and fault surveillance can be monitored via LEDs in the front panel.

The option of a UPS battery pack system permits the 40-908P to be employed in a wide variety of applications and locations.

Incorporating all features defined by the PXI and CompactPCI Specification, PICMG 2.0,R2.1 the 40-908P supports one CPU/interface module and up to seven PXI/cPCI peripheral cards.

Compact size, robust construction, high strength, aluminium plate chassis and flexible power supply, make the 40-908P ideal for use in test and measurement, instrumentation or telecommunication applications.
