A dual 24x8 switching matrix is specifically designed to switch video signals in 75ohm transmission lines.

Pickering Interfaces has added to its expanding range of LXI products with the introduction of a new video switch matrix, the 60-710 The 60-710 is a dual 24x8 switching matrix specifically designed to switch video signals in 75ohm transmission lines

The 60-710 can also be configured via software to operate as a single expanded matrix of 48 by 8.

The switching system is housed in a compact 1U high rack mountable form factor, making it ideal for use in rack mounted applications.

All video connections are provided on the front panel using easily accessible SMB connectors.

The LXI Class C compliant interface allows the 60-710 to be remotely controlled via its Ethernet port through a web browser or by the programmatic interface.

Controlling the 60-710 through the web even at great distances could not be simpler.

The 60-710 LXI compliant interface serves up a soft front panel application that allows the user to control the switching matrix without the time consuming installation and configuration of drivers.

The programmatic interface allows the 60-710 to be controlled through the supplied DLLs or IVI driver.

David Owen, Business Development Manager for Pickering Interfaces commented: "The 60-710 is an example of the type of switching function that can exploit the mechanical flexibility of LXI to provide a more effective solution than modular platforms".

"The 60-710 implements a large matrix as a single device occupying just 1 U of a rack and requiring no configuration cabling".

"This concept gives Pickering and our customer's greater flexibility in implementing the best signal management scheme for their needs".
