Each Pickering Interfaces PXI switching module includes 44 off SPST switches and 12 banks of four-channel multiplexers.

Pickering Interfaces has released two PXI switching modules designed to address requirements for Arinc 608A switching The products can be supported in any 3U PXI chassis and can supported in a Pickering Interfaces LXI modular switching chassis

The 40-569 is a four or eight-slot BRIC module which integrates a 16-wire analogue bus with BUS Matrix cards and Resource Distributor cards in accordance with Appendix D of the Arinc 608 specification.

The scalable design permits the inclusion of up to two off resource distributor sub systems and six off bus matrix subsystems into a single switching entity.

The 40-618 is a source switching module which implements the switching functions defined in Appendix D of the Arinc specification.

Each module includes 44 off SPST switches and 12 banks of four-channel multiplexers.

Both designs are implemented in a 3U PXI format that is compatible with the 60-100 LXI modular switching chassis, permitting the modules to be controlled through either a PXI or an LXI compliant interface.

Pickering Interfaces has worked with MAC Panel to ensure that a commercially available scout mass interconnect system is available to simplify integration into aerospace test systems.

Shaun Fuller, Switching Product Manager for Pickering Interfaces said "The 40-569 and 40-618 simplify the creation of Arinc compliant test systems by providing low-cost and highly integrated solutions for the switching functions defined in the Arinc 608A specification".

"The high levels of integration result in a compact solution that is easy to control through PXI or LXI interfaces".

"Not only are these switching modules more competitive than previous solutions, they also allow far more competitive and better characterised mass interconnect".
