The Cabletest Horizon 1500 line of harness testers has a new feature targeting applications that require affordable, high-resolution resistance measurements in the low-ohm and milliohm ranges

The Cabletest Horizon 1500 line of harness testers has been expanded with a new feature targeting those applications that require affordable, high-resolution resistance measurements in the low-ohm and milliohm ranges.

The new fixed high-current source now included in the instruments is designed to be used primarily in conjunction with the 4-wire (Kelvin) technique to perform resistive measurements on wires and resistors with resistance values from one milliohm to 4 ohms.

Accuracy is +/-1.5%, +/-1 milliohm, and resolution is 0.1 milliohm.

The high resolution and outstanding accuracy make the instruments suitable for a wide range of applications such as testing military and medical cables, and measurements on shield resistance and mixed-gauge cables.

The fixed high current source can also be used in energisation applications for visual tests on lamps and relays.

For applications where more flexibility is required, a programmable 28V/1A high-current source is also available.

The Cabletest range of products is available exclusively in the UK from the Peak Group.
