New joystick uses Hall effect technology
Penny + Giles has added to its range the JC6000 robust multi-axis joysticks designed for demanding operator control applications.
Compact size from rocker switch design
The new JC025 and JC030 single axis fingertip rockers from Penny and Giles Controls allow system designers to provide control of movement and speed in a single low-profile unit.
Typical applications include controls for wheelchairs, disabled mobility vehicles, robotic teach controllers, co-ordinate measuring machines, medical and CCTV equipment, professional cameras and radio or infrared chest packs.
For these applications the JC2000's compact size, low operational force and high reliability are ideal.
The innovative contactless design means there are no moving parts in the sensing system of all three available axes, effectively eliminating flexing wires that can cause failure due to fatigue.
For super critical applications the dual-axis unit is available with two independent outputs in each axis.
The new model also offers mid and top mounting flange options.
The mid-flange version is designed with a below-panel depth of only 25mm including the polarised latching connector, for applications where space is at a premium.
The top flange version, with a below-panel depth of 35mm, is designed for applications where height above the panel is more important.
The competitively priced JC2000 also features an impressive environmental specification that includes sealing to IP65 above the panel, operating temperature of -25 to +75C, a shock level of 40g and RFI susceptibility of 50V/m. Request a free brochure from Penny + Giles ...
