All the words on sensors in cylinders
Penny and Giles Controls has produced a combined brochure and design guide for its new ICS100 in-cylinder sensor.
Penny and Giles Controls has produced a combined brochure and design guide for its new ICS100 in-cylinder sensor, which is designed for use in lower cost hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders that require a simple form of analogue feedback.
As well as providing details of performance and specifications, the brochure presents a comprehensive 'designers guide' covering installation and ordering.
With availability a key feature of the Penny and Giles 'designed for manufacture' philosophy, the company says it can deliver any one of 1500 different ICS100 sensors - 125 lengths, three flanges, two slider rings and two cable lengths - in three to five days from ordering, with despatch the same day as ordered possible for urgent projects.
The ICS100 range offers an excellent price/performance package at a significantly lower price than the HLP100 it replaces.
It is designed specifically for actuators where the sensor is fitted inside the pressurised environment and offers design engineers an affordable alternative for applications where noncontacting technologies may prove too expensive to use.
The range is ideal for high volume applications and is available in 10mm increments to suit actuator strokes up to 1100mm.
