A letter of notification sent to Socomec by Frost and Sullivan notes that the "Product Innovation of the Year Award is presented to the company which is dedicated to introducing new products in the UPS market".

"The product must contain innovative and advanced features not possessed by any other product in the market".

"Moreover, it should provide value-added services to the customers and receive positive acceptance from the end-users".

"Increasing awareness about the benefits offered by the new product and setting up a proper distribution system are some of the important aspects the UPS manufacturer must look into, in order to increase the sales of the product and experience growth in revenues".

"The 2006 Frost and Sullivan Product Innovation of the Year award is presented to Socomec Sicon for integrating a unique VSS+DC flywheel to its Delphys Uninterruptible Power Supply as a result of its partnership with Pentadyne".

In late November, Socomec Sicon plans to show the new UPS solution at the DataCentreDynamics Facilities and Engineering Conference/Expo in London.

Pentadyne announced its marketing agreement with Socomec three months ago.

Two years ago, Socomec received the 2004 Frost and Sullivan Award for Customer Service Excellence in the European UPS marketplace.

Frost and Sullivan surveyed power quality system end users in Germany, the UK, Italy, France and Spain.

Socomec Sicon was ranked number one in a field of 14 UPS manufacturers for satisfaction with UPS product performance, customer service and supplier responsiveness.
