The IPnexus CPC4411 and CPC4416 embedded Ethernet switches join the broadest and most comprehensive embedded Ethernet switch offering in the industry.
The MPS servers and software products are currently used in a variety of commercial applications such as air traffic control systems, weather tracking systems and radar data extractors.
Housed in a 1U ruggedised form factor, the improved MPS1000 provides two 10/100 Ethernet ports, 16 high-speed WAN serial ports and a modular construct designed to greatly reduce field mean-time-to-repair (MTTR).
Similar to its predecessors, the MPS1000 is capable of executing multiple communications protocols, making it ideal for next-generation commercial applications such as intelligent WAN/LAN bridges, WAN/LAN gateway devices or remote WAN connectivity servers.
"The MPS1000 offers greater density, flexibility and reliability than our existing WAN-over-IP communications servers", said Steve Wigent, Product Manager for Performance Technologies' wide area networking products.
"The MPS1000 also provides a more robust software environment, enabling the customer to preserve their existing software investment by allowing portability to any of Performance Technologies' WAN communications products".
The MPS1000 is enabled with Performance Technologies' Linux-based NexusWare development environment and supports the company's complete line of WAN communications protocols including frame relay, HDLC, LAPD, X.25, radar receiver and SBSI.
A fully documented API within NexusWare allows for simplified multiprotocol applications development, and full hardware extraction and portability.
The MPS1000 is available immediately.
Pricing begins at $7595.
