The IPnexus CPC4411 and CPC4416 embedded Ethernet switches join the broadest and most comprehensive embedded Ethernet switch offering in the industry.
Developers can then use the CPC300 and the NexusWare Core environment to yield equipment such as media and signalling gateways, wireless infrastructure equipment, IP media equipment, telecomms switching/routing equipment and SS7 network elements.
The CPC300 comes equipped with NexusWare Core, Performance Technologies' Linux-based board support package (BSP) that provides a powerful development, integration and management environment.
NexusWare Core features a suite of carrier-grade device drivers as well as an easy to use set of application programming interfaces (API) for access to onboard resources.
Cross development support for Linux, Windows and Solaris platforms is also provided.
"The CPC300 is an ideal choice for developers looking for an intelligent platform that can be customised to accommodate their specific application requirements", said Steve Wigent, Access Product Manager for Performance Technologies.
"This latest product rounds out our complete offering of TDM/IP processors".
The CPC300 shares a common architectural design with the company's CPC324 and CPC308 TDM/IP edge communications processors, which provide fully programmable T1/E1/J1 interfaces and also allow system integrators to converge both legacy TDM and emerging IP networks onto a single subsystem.
The CPC300 offers dual PTMC sites complying with the PICMG 2.15 standard, powerful 667MHz PowerPC processing capabilities, TCP acceleration hardware, an onboard Gigabit Ethernet switch and support for full throughput of H.110 and PICMG 2.16 backplanes.
Pricing for the CPC300 starts at $4695, and it is available immediately.
