Managed platforms take on packet-based switching
The IPnexus Advanced Managed Platform line is a new generation of fully managed packet-based platforms.
Using the Service Availability Forum (SA Forum) Hardware Platform Interface (HPI), the Performance Technologies solution includes platform and system management, as well as comprehensive high availability capabilities.
Features include resource discovery and system model instantiation, hot swap management, alarm management, shelf manager integration, and integration with Performance Technologies-specific system management capabilities.
With these features and this functionality, equipment manufacturers can realise benefits associated with integration by eliminating time-consuming tasks, enabling them to focus on development at the application layer.
