The Flash memory compatibility includes support for both standard MiniSD and high-capacity MiniSDHC modules and can be swapped out depending on user requirements.
This socketed option provides enhanced, user flexibility to meet design requirements as opposed to permanently affixed Flash memory devices that could limit module performance.
