Based on Cellon platform designs and incorporating Philips Semiconductor Division's pioneering Nexperia cellular system solution, the newly launched handset line benefited from reduced time to market, enabling the manufacturer to deliver designer handsets quickly with up to the minute functionality.

Cellon International, the world's largest independent design house for wireless terminals and module designs, incorporates Philips Semiconductor Division's market leading Nexperia cellular system solution into its highly integrated designs.

The resulting solution provides the technology required to build mobile handsets and includes the Nexperia Cellular multimedia baseband, RF front-end, power management unit and software package laid out in an optimised platform design that is easy for handset manufacturers to integrate.

Leading mobile manufacturers are currently using this cost-effective solution to eliminate time-consuming compatibility and interoperability testing from the design cycle in order to bring the latest models to market on schedule.

The flexibility of the solution also enables them to include the latest multimedia functionality quickly and easily to create the ultimate designer handsets.
